This time is dedicated to the potential client and their support team of up to 2 others. The 45 minute session will be used to determine if the services provided at Greenfields are the right fit for the client’s goals and needs.

The intake session will be spent with the clinician completing the following:
- Tour of the farm
- Discussion with the client, and their team, regarding what they hope to work towards during their time at the farm
- Outlining the scope of our services
- Ensure the safety requirements are understood and agreed upon.

Within one week of the Intake Session, Greenfields will inform the client if we believe our services can provide benefit. If the client chooses to proceed, an intake form must be completed and a commitment to therapy must be made.

Individual Equine Assisted Therapy sessions, sometimes referred to as horse therapy, are offered outside on a working certified organic farm. Sessions will include the therapist, the client and the horse (or horses) deemed to be the right fit.

Session structure will be determined after the completion of the intake process to ensure the client’s goals, needs and comfort level are all tailored to. The incorporation of other elements of the farm, such as other farm animals, are potential tools that may be used in session.

Note: This is not a riding program. All work with the horses will be done on the ground (groundwork). Clients will not be permitted to ride.

The Junior Framers program invites children to experience life on a certified organic farm. It aims to immerse children in a working farm environment where they can move their bodies and learn new skills. Through a challenge by choice outlook, children have the opportunity to try a variety of safe and fun activities. This will include meeting farm animals, spending time in nature, and creating personalized farm treasures to take home!
